Hi spud lovers! Doug from the Potato Appreciation Club checking in to say a massive thank you for visiting our humble corner of the internet.

First off, apologies for the slight delay in getting the full site up and running. We had originally planned to host everything locally (on a small potato-powered server, naturally), but decided at the last minute to move things to the cloud — and, well, let’s just say things got a bit mash-ed up in the transition. Unfortunately, we closed the Facebook page a little prematurely, as we genuinely expected the new site to be ready by now — but it turns out even the best-laid spuds take time to sprout.

Some functionality — like the news section and photo gallery — should be planted soon, but most features (including the forums and membership info updates) will be rolling out early next year.

In the meantime, memberships can still be renewed and updated in the usual way — just as you’ve always done!

  From backyard buckets to professional allotments, our “Grow Your Own Glory” section will let members share their secrets for soil, sunlight, and how to fend off jealous neighbours.
• 🍳 Cooking Corners & Culinary Creations
  Discover, discuss, and occasionally argue about your favourite ways to prepare the humble potato — mashed, roasted, chipped, dauphinoised, or raw (if you’re living on the edge). Our poll system will finally settle once and for all: skins on or off?
• 🗳️ Favourite Varieties Voting
  Is the Desiree truly superior to the Yukon Gold? Is the humble Russet overrated? Prepare for passionate debates and possibly the first-ever Potato Popularity Index.
• 🖼️ The Gallery of Remarkable Potatoes
  A fully interactive showcase of nature’s finest artwork — knobbly, heart-shaped, or shockingly potato-looking potatoes. Members can upload, name, and admire spuds of all shapes and starches.
• 👤 Member Accounts & Profiles
  Set up your personal account to track your membership status, update your details, and (eventually) earn badges such as The Hash Brown Hero.

All this and more will be rolling out soon — once our cloud migration finally sprouts properly.
